· “I Love this Game!”: analyzing statistics of past and current basketball games to predict what this year’s outcome may be.

· A study on the cost of annual fuel consumption for a car based on its engine size (to educate buyers on the costs of owning a car with a larger engine).

· Looking into the 2000 election results to determine if there is a relationship between education, income per capita, infant mortality rates, and other variables. Then studying the claims and stereotypes made about President Bush, his supporters, and the Republican Party.

· Linear relationship between engine size and a car’s city gas mileage.

· Offensive statistics for 50 of the starting outfielders of Major League Baseball for the 2006 season.

· Most valuable in the National Basketball Association: Suns Differential vs. Nash Assists.

· Global inequality as measured in differences in real GDP among countries.
