Smoothing, Demonstrated

Instructions:
These instructions, like the Demo, are not yet complete.
- To add points to the scatterplot, just click within the boundaries
of the plot. (This works when the "Add Point" radio button is checked,
the default on startup.)
[Note: after adding points, you need to re-smooth the data. The parts of
the smoothed curve that are effected by the addition of datapoits will be
displayed in yellow and the parts that are not effected by the addition
will be displayed in green.]
- To move a point, check the "Move Point" radio button and then
click on (or near) the point you wish to move and drag it to the
location you wish.
[Note: after moving points, you need to re-smooth the data. The parts of
the smoothed curve that are effected by the moving of datapoits will be
displayed in yellow and the parts that are not effected by the moves
will be displayed in green.]
- To erase a point, check the "Erase Point" checkbox and then
click on (or near) the point you wish to erase.
[Note: after erasing points, you need to re-smooth the data. The parts of
the smoothed curve that are effected by the deletio of datapoits will be
displayed in yellow and the parts that are not effected by the deletio
will be displayed in green.]
- You can also clear the entire scatterplot.
There are actually many ways to configure
this demo.
