"AIDS: Statistical Science and Public Health"
It has been 30 years since the first AIDS cases were reported. Over the last three decades, statistical science
has made important contributions to our understanding of the epidemic and in improving public health. This talk
will consider some examples of the roles of statistical reasoning in AIDS. Statistical science has had an impact
on AIDS epidemiology, treatment and prevention. New statistical problems have and continue to emerge as the
AIDS epidemic evolves. Current issues and future prospects of the epidemic will be discussed.

On site registration and check-in hours:
You may check-in anytime between 7:00am and 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 19th at the Conference and Event Planning office in the Cerro Vista Office Community Center, Cerro Vista San Luis, Bldg. 170G,to be issued a room key, Onity card and parking permit (if staying on campus). If you are checking in on Monday or Tuesday, you will need to go to Trinity Hall, Bldg 105, which will be open from 7:00am to 9:00pm. After hours check-in, you will need to follow the on-call check-in procedures posted on the exterior door leading into the Conference and Event Planning office. Please be patient while a member of Conference and Event Planning returns to assist you. To reach the office of Conference and Event Planning, call (805) 756-7600.
